The sleek, slim phone features a touch screen interface rather that a traditional keypad.

Design

The Samsung SGH-E890 is certainly eye-catching with its thin profile (0.6 inches) and its attractive silver finish. Though, the big draw of the SGH-E890 is its vivid 2.3 inch QVGA display, which also serves as a touch screen, since the candy bar doesn't include a traditional keypad. The handset felt nice and sturdy in our hands, and the touch screen was rather responsive.

Features

The E890's touch screen interface was rather user friendly (not unlike the menus we've seen from many Samsung handsets); we were able to easily navigate through menus without encountering any problems. However, you are expected to use your fingertips to dial on the screen making smudges inevitable. Although, we were pleasantly surprised to find how easy it was to dial on the phone, as the virtual buttons were quite large and evenly spaced. The candy bar also includes a 1.3-megapixel camera, a music player, a speakerphone, microSD memory expansion and Bluetooth 2.0.

Pros:

Slim, attractive design. Eye-catching QVGA display. Responsive, easy-to-use touch screen interface.

Cons:

Screen is extremely prone to smudges.
