Motorola has unleashed a multimedia powerhouse on the Chinese market with the MOTOROKR E6. Dubbed an "entertainment PDA," the phone features a touch-screen, support for loads of compressed audio formats and an FM radio. A 3.5mm headphone jack allows you to use any phones you please, or you can forgo the wires with stereo Bluetooth headphones. For video, Motorola claims full screen playback in MPEG-4 and RealPlayer formats. As a PDA, the phone handles e-mail and most office document formats, and ships with business card scanning software. Unfortunately, the phone is only GPRS capable, not EDGE or 3G. An SD memory card slot and a 2-megapixel camera round out the impressive feature set. The phone is available immediately to Chinese customers, no word on availability elsewhere.

Specifications

  • Tri-band GSM/GPRS
  • 2.4" QVGA touch screen
  • 2-megapixel camera
  • Stereo Bluetooth
  • SD memory card slot
  • Dedicated music buttons
  • Measures: 4.4 by 2.0 by 0.6 inches
  • Weighs: 4.3 ounces

    Price and availability

Available immediately to Chinese customers from Motorola's website for ¥ 3,788.00 (roughly $484 USD).
