Unvelied last month at CTIA IT in Los Angeles, the IP-830w boasts Windows Mobile 5.0, dual-mode GSM/CDMA network support, a full thumbboard, and more.
An update of the aging Samsung SCH-i830 on Verizon Wireless, the IP-830w replaces the older phone's Windows Mobile 2003 OS with the newer 5.0 variety. Otherwise, the specs on the two phones are relatively similar: you get dual-mode CDMA/GSM support, including EV-DO and EDGE, Bluetooth, a slide-out QWERTY thumbboard, 64MB of RAM and 128MB of non-volatile memory, and an SDIO-capable SD/MMC card expansion slot. Keep an eye out for our full review.
Pricing and availability
Available now on Sprint, the Samsung IP-830w retails for $750, or $600 with a two-year service agreement.
