Verizon Launches a Flurry of New Mobile Services
Verizon Wireless announced new partnerships and initiatives for their network, enhancing their Get It Now service with new entertainment, personalization and search options. Verizon will partner with Vivendi Games Mobile to bring Vivendi’s popular brands to Verizon Wireless Get It Now subscribers. Verizon and new partner Sonic Branding Solutions will also bring Sonic’s ring tone creation program, ToneMaker DJ, and screen saver creation program, Wallpaper Maker, to Get It Now customers. Finally, Verizon is making available Get It Now Search, free for service users, which allows users to search for products on the Get It Now service using Text or Voice input. Nokia and Motorola join forces to achieve mobile TV interoperability
With Informa’s expectation that mobile TV will grow leaps and bounds by 2010, Motorola and Nokia are teaming up to achieve interoperability among their Digital Video Broadcast-Handheld (DVB-H) phones. Guardian Angel lets you keep an eye on your kids’ whereabouts
Ever wonder where your children are when they go “out” with some friends? The Guardian Angel Technology GPS service on newly-launched Boost Mobile phones clues parents in on the location of their little darlings with a simple click and login on a secure website. The application allows mom and dad to trace their kids’ steps back an entire month. CTIA IT 2006: Warner Bros. introduces mobile content on Nokia phones.
Pop culture junkies will be thrilled with the announcement than Warner Bros. content can be downloaded off of the Nokia Content Discoverer.
