Moto's slim-and-trim KRZR update to its popular RAZR line has arrived; we took a gander at the GSM K1 during a press preview in New York City.
With its narrow profile and metallic glossy finish, the new KRZR K1 certainly cuts a fine profile. Measuring 0.6 by 1.7 by 4.1 inches and weighing in at about 3.6 ounces, the K1 actually felt a little lighter in our hands than we expected, but it attracts smudges like nobody's business. The GSM K1 handset we saw boasted Motorola's standard (read: dull) interface, although you can expect that to change once it lands in Cingular's and/or T-Mobile's handset lineup later this year. Besides its support for 2.5G EDGE data networks, the K1 comes with a 2.0-megapixel camera (an improvement on the 1.3MP cameras on the earlier RARZs) as well as Bluetooth (with stereo headset support) and microSD memory expansion.
