Samsung's update to its sports camcorder line lets you film handsfree without a mess of tangled wires.
The SC-X210WL is Samsung's refresh of the SC-X210L. This sports camcorder is ready for the road - whether you're hitting the beach or packing it for a ski trip next winter. It offers a 10X optical zoom, a 2-inch LCD, a 680,000-pixel CCD, and image stabilization. The SC-X210WL is perfect for anyone into extreme sports or looking to capture video of themselves in situations where traditional camcorders are not an option.
This video camera features 1 GB of internal memory (a 512 MB model, the SC-X205WL, is also available) and an SD Card slot to capture even more footage. The SC-X210WL differs from the previous generation with the inclusion of a wireless auxiliary lens. Now you can leave the main unit in your bag and simply clip on the lens without having to worry about being caught up in the cord. An armband and headband are included to help you attach the lens.
Samsung bills the SC-X210WL as a 6-in-1 device with camcorder, still camera, webcam, MP3 player, voice recorder, and data storage options. With all of those options, you'll be able to lighten your already bulging backpack of the collection of gadgets stored inside.
Price and availability
The Samsung SC-X210WL will be available in September 2006 and priced at $679.
