The new clamshell, first announced in April at CTIA, adds walkie-talkie capabilities to the old Z520a handset.
Besides its new PTT capabilities, the Z525a is essentially the same handset as the older Z520a. Measuring 3.2 by 1.8 by 0.9 inches and weighing in at 3.3 ounces, the new clamshell features a VGA camera, Bluetooth, quad-band support for world-phone service, a media player, MP3 ringtones, instant messaging, and mobile e-mail.
Pricing and availability
Available now on Cingular, the Sony Ericsson Z525s is priced at $70, or $20 with a two-year service agreement.
