The bargain-priced clamshell boasts national, group and off-network walkie-talkie service, plus a 65,000-color LCD, built-in GPS, and a speakerphone.
Measuring 3.5 by 2 by 1 inches and tipping the scales at four ounces, the i670 makes for a relatively modest if inexpensive addition to Sprint Nextel's PTT lineup. You won't find features such as Bluetooth or a ruggedized shell, but the iDEN handset still packs in national, group (good for connection with up to 20 chatters at once), and off-network (which works with other "Direct Talk" phones within a six-mile radius) push-to-talk service. The i670 also supports text and multimedia messaging and includes built-in GPS, a speakerphone, and a series of basic PIM apps.
The Motorola i670 is available now from Sprint Nextel for $250, or $50 with a two-year service agreement.
