RCA's H116 offers a low price tag, 6GB of music storage, compatibility with PlaysForSure services, and 16 hours of battery life – too bad the screen isn’t in color.
At first glance, the specs for the RCA H116 seem promising – a 6GB hard drive, 16 hours of battery life, a light 2.7-ounce weight, and a body around the size of a business card. All looks great, until you notice that the H116 only offers a 1.5-inch, black-and-white display. While this is not a deal breaker, it makes the H116 seem like a step backward (considering that almost every MP3 player has a color screen now).
Aside from the LCD, the H116 has a lot to offer including an FM transmitter for hooking the H116 directly to your car’s stereo, earbuds, a generous 100 free MP3 downloads from eMusic, and free trial subscriptions to Yahoo Music Unlimited and from Audible.
Price and availability
The H116 will be available in July 2006 and priced at $169.
