Creative's Zen V Plus hopes to slice into Apple's nano, with plenty of music storage and long battery life in a curvy little package.
Think the iPod is the only game in town? The Creative Zen V Plus offers everything you'd get from Apple, plus a few things that everyone's favorite little white (or black) player can't do. Whether you want to store a few songs or up to 2,000, there is an option for everyone with 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB storage capacities. A built-in voice recorder, a calendar that syncs with Outlook, and an alarm clock will keep even the most disorganized on track, while a long battery life (rated at 15 hours) will keep you rocking through your commute, daily trip to the gym, and beyond.
If you like to constantly change your music choices, the Zen V Plus works with unlimited subscription services to switch your playlist whenever you want. In addition to storing your songs, it also has a built-in FM radio with 32 preset channels for catching up on the latest news and sports. Its bright, 1.5-inch color screen is perfect for watching video clips and showing off your favorite photos.
Price and availability
The Zen V Plus will be available in August and priced at $75 (2GB), $125 (4GB), and $170 (8GB).
