The stainless-steel, EDGE-enabled slider is set to arrive this week in T-Mobile's high-end phone lineup.
The eye-catching 8801, which we reviewed last month, will retail for $549 with a two-year contract or $599 with a one-year contract, according to T-Mobile reps, and should appear on T-Mobile's Web site early this week.
Measuring 4.2 by 1.8 by 0.7 inches and weighing in at 4.7 ounces, the elegant (if hefty) 8801 boasts an SVGA camera, a 265,000-color TFT display, Bluetooth, EDGE support, 64MB of shared internal memory, a music player and FM tuner, and a speakerphone. The phone has been available since late last year on Nokia’s Web site for a heft $800.
