Boasting Vodafone's Radio DJ service for personalized music streaming, the operator-exclusive Sony Ericsson V630i also plays back MP3s and shoots 2 Megapixel stills to Memory Stick Micro cards.
Marking the introduction of yet another Vodafone-only handset from Sony Ericsson, the V630i has today been announced for arrival on the operator behemoth's network this June. Sporting specifications similar to the maker's popular W810i, the V630i is compatible with several AAC variants and the always-ubiquitous MP3 format, and also comes with Vodafone's Radio DJ service which lets users create a personalized radio channel through voting off tunes to their dislike.
Bundled with a 256 MB Memory Stick Micro card, the handset also offers a 1.9-inch medium resolution display which, in tandem with 3G connectivity and a front-mounted 0.3 Megapixel camera, enables video calling. Also present is a 2 Megapixel camera for shooting stills and recording video, as well as Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, a HTML browser compatible with RSS and USB 2.0 for snappy content transfers.
Price and availability
The Sony Ericsson V630i is expected to be available from Vodafone throughout Europe and the Asia Pacific in June 2006; no information was shared concerning its pricing.
