Just in time for the FIFA World Cup 2006, the Italian branch of mobile network operator Three picks up the LG U900, a swivel-screen handset sporting 3G and the ability to receive live TV over DVB-H.

Making a mark as Europe's first commercially available DVB-H handset, mobile network operator Three in Italy is now offering the 3G-enabled U900 to subscribers intent on keeping up-to-date on every aspect of the impending FIFA World Cup 2006. The handset boasts a 2.2-inch swiveling display for watching TV for up to three hours in landscape mode, in addition to UMTS connectivity with video calling courtesy of a back-mounted 1.3 Megapixel camera and front-mounted 0.3 Megapixel camera.

Price and availability

The LG U900 is available as of May 2006 exclusively to subscribers of the Italian branch of mobile network operator Three.
