Operator Three starts peddling the wafer-thin Samsung SGH-Z150, which packs 3G with video calling, Bluetooth and an MP3 player despite its meagre measurements of 89 g and a 9.8 mm slim-ness.

The perfect match for your run-of-the-mill supermodel, Samsung's superbly slim SGH-Z150 handset is now available from operator Three. At 118 x 47 x 9.8 mm and 89 g, the only thinner handset on the market is the Samsung SGH-P300 sibling, which the SGH-Z150 has beat in the feature department. Our hands-on impressions reveals its 1.9-inch medium resolution display to be surprisingly sharp, while the keypad is top notch; its MP3 player with 50 MB of onboard is something we could care less for, however.

Courtesy of dual 0.3 Megapixel cameras and 3G connectivity, the SGH-Z150 is also capable of conducting video calls, although the size of the handset - and consequently, its battery - will require calling parties to be very efficient indeed. Anyone looking for a phone they can actually use should look elsewhere; the SGH-Z150 is mere eye candy - albeit just about as good as it gets.

Price and availability

The Samsung SGH-Z150 is now available from operator Three in select European markets, selling in the €400 range.

Read the full article » Rarely have we seen a slim phone which leaves such an admirable first impression. The elegantly designed KG320 is a handset which doesn't compromise on ergonomics in order to achieve a slimmer form factor, resulting in the inclusion of a high-quality keypad and an excellent display in a wafer-thin form factor. Advanced functionality is expectedly absent, however, given its modest battery life; a 1.3 Megapixel camera and a useless music player sans memory expansion is as good as it gets.
