LG KG800
Score: 68% When: May 2006 Worth: €500

Its feature set - including a mediocre camera and music player - compares reasonably well to other slim and fashion phones; its most aggravating fault is the lagging text input, which stands in contrast to its responsive touch-sensitive navigational controls. LG KG800 launch coverage
Following the
recent unveiling of a slate of new handsets, handset maker LG has announced that it intends to bring a GSM version of the company's 'Chocolate' CDMA handset for the Korean market to Europe. A slider fashion phone, the handset will be peddled under the KG800 moniker and integrates among other features touch-sensitive controls similar to those found in Samsung's recently unveiled
SGH-E900 as well as a 2-inch, 262K colour display.
Further details concerning the handset were not available, as LG said it expects to be able to share the full extent of its specifications in May. The Korean version of the handset does however include features such as a 1.3 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth support and an MP3 compatible audio player, several of which are likely candidates for inclusion in the European edition.
