The HBH-IV835 is a small and light in-ear model; the HBH-GV435 an over-the ear design not previously applied by Sony Ericsson; and the HBH-PV705 a more conventional model.
Sony Ericsson HBH-IV835
Marking Sony Ericsson's first in-ear model, the HBH-IV835 is design-wise a shot in the vein of the handset maker's
Akono HBH-608. Small and light at a mere 10 g, it will compete with headsets such as the Motorola
H5 Miniblue and Nokia
BH-800, featuring digital noise reduction and automatic volume adjustment depending on surrounding noise levels. Using Bluetooth 2.0, it supports the Headset and Handsfree profiles, and offers a talk time of up to 3.5 hours and up to 160 hours of standby. Due out in the second quarter of 2006, price unknown.

Another first is the HBH-GV435, which skips the in-ear design for a loop style form factor for a more secure fit. Pitched as a headset for use in rugged environments as well as offices, it features the same digital noise cancelling and automatic volume adjustment as the HBH-IV835 and will go up against competitors including Motorola's
H605. Weighing nearly double that of the HBH-IV835, it also features vastly improved talk and standby times at 8 hours and 300 hours, respectively. Although its pricing has yet to be confirmed, the headset is slated for availability in the third quarter of 2006
Sony Ericsson HBH-PV705
Taking a more rugged approach is the HBH-PV705, which will go up against among others Nokia's BH-200 headset as it hits shelves in the third quarter of 2006. A little lighter than the HBH-GV435, it weighs in at 14 g, yet still manages to offer the longest talk time of the trio with 12 hours. Standby time, meanwhile, clocks in at a considerable 300 hours.
