Adding a third thumbboard phone to its repertoir consisting of the Samsung SGH-D307 and the LG F9100, Cingular today announced the immediate availability of the LG F9200. Similar in most respects to its predecessor, the aforementioned F9100, the key difference between the two handsets is the inclusion of a 0.3 Megapixel camera in the new model, while trademark features such as the slide-out landscape thumbboard and extensive messaging capabilities remain.
A dual-band GSM handset, the F9100 relies on GPRS for communicating with a range of instant messaging networks including AOL, Yahoo! and ICQ. Furthermore, it supports mobile e-mail from Yahoo!, Hotmail and MSN mail, all of which are navigated by means of the handset's 65K colour display. Other highlights include speakerphone support, voice activated dialing and Java support for installing 3rd party applications.
Available now from Cingular, the LG F9200 retails from $150 USD with subscription.
