Built-in GPS, microSD expansion and - surprisingly - Palm OS 5 are on tap as Garmin unveils the third member of its iQue range of GPS-equipped handhelds with the 3000.
Adding to its existing line-up comprised of the iQue 3200 and iQue 3600 models, Garmin has introduced the Palm OS 5 powered iQue 3000. As with its siblings, the handheld features integrated GPS and comes with Garmin's navigation software complete with PIM integration allowing for automatic routing to existing contacts or addresses entered into appointments.
Powered by a 200 MHz processor, the 3000 offers a 3-inch 320 x 320 pixel screen and 32 MB of non-volatile memory, as well as a microSD card expansion slot. The handheld comes bundled with either a 128 MB card contaning maps for North America or a 256 MB card with maps for Europe and Australia, and starts shipping this February for $400 USD.
