Small and stylish, Iomega's new Micro Mini drives feature built-in shock protection and a choice of either 4 GB or 8 GB of host-powered, USB 2.0 connected hard drive storage.
Iomega has announced yet another offering in the company's considerable line-up of portable hard drives, the Micro Mini Hard Drive. Available in 4 GB and 8 GB editions, the minute drives spin at 4,200 RPM in a USB 2.0 connected enclosure, and are considerably smaller than the company's
recently introduced StorCenter line of portable drives.
With a footprint smaller than the size of a credit card, the 50 g drives are fitted with a fold-out connector and are entirely host-powered. Both drives sport a blue LED for signaling power and drive status, and also come with Iomega Automatick Backup Pro software for backup purposes; Musicmatch Jukebox music management software; and a copy of Adobe Photoshop Album SE for digital photo management.
Available immediately worldwide, the Iomega Micro Mini 4 GB and 8 GB editions sell for $130 USD and $170 USD, respectively.
