Following a short delay, Nokia today confirmed to infoSync World that the manufacturer begun shipments of its first smartphone to include a 2 Megapixel camera, the N90, in late July. According to Nokia, the delay was caused by the manufacturer's desire to carry out additional work related to quality assurance before the product was shipped to customers.
Introduced alongside the N91 and N70 models at the Nokia Destination event recently hosted by the Finnish manufacturer in Amsterdam, the N90 employs Carl Zeiss optics and a swiveling display design to allow the handset to be operated in much the same fashion as a camcorder. Other features include 3G support, a 262K colour high-resolution display and Bluetooth 2.0.
