Clad in stainless steel, Nokia's Wireless Stereo Headset HS-12W accessorizes the 8800 fashion handset with its stereo Bluetooth audio support, integrated FM radio and LCD display.

Following hot on the heels on the availability of Nokia's stainless steel fashion handset, the 8800, comes news of the similarly clad Wireless Stereo Headset HS-12W as possibly its ideal accessory. Incorporating a one-line LCD display and functionality pioneered in headsets from makers such as Sony Ericsson and Jabra, the HS-12W displays caller ID for incoming calls as well as received SMS and MMS messages, also doubling as an RDS-equipped FM radio.

Supporting standard Handsfree and Headset Bluetooth profiles, the HS-12W headset can be used with any compatible Bluetooth phone, but also supports the far less common AD2P profile which allows for the transfer of stereo audio. In conjunction with the 8800, the HS-12W would not only let users listen to music in stereo, but also navigate tunes courtesy of built-in control buttons and switch seamlessly between music and incoming calls.

Claiming a talk time of up to 8 hours and standby time of up to 200 hours, the Nokia Wireless Stereo Headset HS-12W is due out in the third quarter of 2005 and is expected to sell in the €150 EUR range.
