The latest addition to Creative's Zen line-up of portable audio players, the Zen Sleek, offers a 20 GB hard drive, support for MP3 and WMA, an FM tuner and USB 2.0.

Extending an already comprehensive line-up of audio players, Creative has introduced the latest member of the company's Zen line, the Zen Sleek. Sporting a backlit monochrome display and Creative's touch-sensitive Touch Pad control, the player comes in an aluminium chassis with a total of 20 GB of hard drive space available.

At the modest size of 101 x 59 x 17 mm and 157 g, the Zen Sleek supports MP3 and WMA formats up to 320 Kbps, as well as WMA 9 or 10 with DRM. Also fitted with a 32-station, 87.5-100 KHz stereo FM radio, the player is capable of recording voice as well as directly from its integrated radio in stereo and at 22 KHz using the IMA ADPCM codec.

Providing an interface to the functionality of the Zen Sleek is its 2" monochrome, blue backlit LCD screen, whilst connectivity is provided by means of a 3.5 mm stereo earphone jack and USB 2.0. The latter also offers charging of the rechargeable, non-exchangeable Lithium Ion battery of the audio player.

Claiming up to 16 hours of playback, the Creative Zen Sleek also offers a graphic equalizer with nine preset environments. Slated to hit shelves in Europe and North America in July, the newcomer will sell for approximately €300 EUR, or $350 USD.
