Accessory maker Belkin has unveiled the latest addition to the company's comprehensive line-up of accessories for the Apple iPod, the Bluetooth-based TuneStage. Similar to the company's existing TuneCast accessory, the TuneStage enables users to wirelessly stream music from iPods to stereos, but relies on Bluetooth as its preferred medium as opposed to the FM radio broadcasts of the TuneCast, illegal in many countries.
The solution consists of a transmitter which plugs into the 3.5 mm headphone jack of the iPod, as well as a similar receiver which utilizes either a 3.5 mm jack or RCA analog audio input to connect with a stereo system. Slated for availability in North America in July 2005, the TuneStage will be priced at $179.99 USD.
