Previously only available in sizes up to 4 GB, Rio's Carbon Pearl audio player gets a hard drive boost to 6 GB.
Hot on the heels of Apple's ipod mini, Rio has upgraded the Pearl edition of its Carbon portable audio player to offer 6 GB of storage. Previously only available in capacities up to 4 GB, the player remains identical to other models in the Carbon line-up, supporting both MP3 and WMA formats with a claimed battery life of up to 20 hours.
Also supporting the Audible format, Rio's Carbon Pearl 6 GB measures in at 3.3 x 2.5 x 0.6 inches and 3.2 oz, in which the company has also managed to pack voice recording and an USB 2.0 port with charging. Bundled with Rio's Music Manager software, the Rio Carbon Pearl 6 GB will be available this June for an estimated retail price of $230 USD.
