Now shipping in the U.S., Wacom's first Bluetooth-based Graphire pad offers 6 x 8 inches of wireless, pressure-sensitive input.
Adding to its existing range of Graphire pressure-sensitive tablets, Wacom has now begun shipping a Bluetooth version of its largest offering in the Graphire range of pressure-sensitive tablets. Dispensing with Wacom's proprietary cordless standard for wireless communication, the Wacom Graphire Bluetooth relies on the technology which makes up the latter part of its name for connectivity.
Relying on the same battery-free pen as other models in its Graphire range, the Graphire Bluetooth offers a 6 x 8 inches active area with 512 levels of pressure sensitivity. The tablet features a rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery which according to Wacom delivers up to 25 hours of use, whilst a 12-foot cable connected to its 110V-240V charging dock allows for use while charging.
The Graphire Bluetooth incorporates two buttons called ExpressKeys, which provide quick access to commonly used modifiers, mouse-clicks, and keystrokes. The tablet comes bundled with Adobe Photoshop Elements 2, which allows for the editing of digital photos and creation of original artwork, as well as Painter Essentials 2 from Corel and Color Efex Pro 2 GE from nik multimedia to apply photographic enhancements.
Now shipping in the U.S., the Wacom Graphire Bluetooth has an estimated retail price of $249.99 USD.
