Every bit as slick as the RAZR V3, yet with 3G and a 2 Megapixel camera: Jørgen Sundgot sneaks the briefest of peeks at Motorola's new V1150 at CeBIT.

Someone, pinch me. It's only little over a year since my yawns were growing increasingly more frequent in conjunction with Motorola product launches, and all of a sudden the handset maker is churning out objects of lust like there's no tomorrow. At CeBIT, the company unveiled the V1150, which is essentially the RAZR V3 - with 3G, a 2 Megapixel camera and all the other goodies found in the V3.

A tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz handset with UMTS support, this is one handset the U.S. crowd will envy the Europeans - for now, at least. As if the good looks and slim figure alone were not enough to draw attention, the V1150 also boasts a 2 Megapixel camera, up from 0.3 Megapixels on the RAZR V3, as well as previously found features including Bluetooth, mini USB and 64 MB of internal memory.

That's not all, however, as the V1150 also totes a secondary 0.3 Megapixel camera mounted in front, which enables two-way video calling in a package that'll give Samsung's recently unveiled range of 3G handsets such as the SGH-Z500 and SGH-Z300 a run for their money. There's also the ability to record and play back video courtesy of either camera, and for those bent on recording every minute of their life there's also support for TransFlash memory cards, which are shortly to be renamed microSD cards.

Alas, playing with the V1150 was out of the question as not a single working sample was available at CeBIT, but those having played with the RAZR V3 will find few differences; rock solid build quality, great looks and an impressive screen are some of the keywords. It'll be a while yet before you can get your hands on it, though; its official release date is some time in the fourth quarter, and with a feature set as advanced as this I'd be more than surprised if that didn't mean December.
