Sony Ericsson launches a slew of new phonesBy Sindre Lia, Tuesday 1 March 2005
Sony Ericsson today introduced the Sony Ericsson K750i with a 2 megapixel camera, the W800i Walkman phone capable of doing 30 hours of music playback, plus two low-end phones.

Sony Ericsson K750i

Offering a 2 megapixel camera with autofocus, 4x digital zoom and red eye reduction, the Sony Ericsson K750i aims to follow up last year's S700. The phone comes with an internal 32 MB memory, and also supports Memory Stick Duo, Bluetooth and Infrared. A 64MB Memory Stick Duo is supplied with the phone. When it comes to multimedia, the K750 offers an integrated MP3 player, FM radio and an 3D Java games engine.

The K750i measures 100 x 46 x 20.5 mm and will ship with an 176 x 220 pixels 18-bit colour display.

The Sony Ericsson K750i will operate on GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz networks, and will be available in the second quarter of 2005.

Sony Ericsson W800i

Being the world's first Walkman phone, the Sony Ericsson W800i aims to raise the bar for mobile entertainment. According to Sony Ericsson, the phone is capable of playing digital music for up to 30 hours. The W800i will ship with a 0.5 GB Memory Stick Duo card, where both music as well as pictures taken with the phone's integrated 2 megapixel camera can be stored.

The W800i measures 100 x 46 x 20.5 mm, and features Bluetooth, FM radio, xHTML browser, and a 176 x 220 pixel 18-bit colour display.

The Sony Ericsson W800i will operate on GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz networks, and will be available in the third quarter of 2005.

Sony Ericsson K300i

Sporting a 128 x 128 pixels 16-bit display, the Sony Ericsson K300i measures 99.9 x 45.2 x 19.4 mm and weighs in at 85 g. The K300i offers a VGA camera with 4x digital zoom, 12 MB of internal memory, xHTML browser, Infrared port, MMS, and polyphonics.

The Sony Ericsson K300i will operate on GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz networks, and will be available in the first quarter of 2005.

Sony Ericsson J300i

Measuring 99.1 x 42.6 x 18.2 mm, the Sony Ericsson J300i includes a media player, 3D graphic games and a 12 MB internal memory. The J300i comes with a 128 x 128 pixel 16-bit display, and also includes support for GPRS, MMS, WAP 2.0 and instant messaging. J300i owners will be offered a free download of Gameloft's Rayman 3.

The Sony Ericsson J300i will operate on GSM 900/1800 MHz networks, and will be available in the second quarter of 2005.
