Three new 3G communicators from Motorola were officially announced today, focusing on video telephony and entertainment.
The Motorola A1010
The new Motorola A1010 communicator sports WCDMA 2100 MHz, GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 MHz functionality,
a large TFT screen with a resolution of 208 x 320 pixels, a 2 MP and a VGA camera enabling 2-way
video conferencing, as well as multimedia streaming, capture and playback (MP3, MPEG4).
Running Symbian OS 7.0 and the UIQ 2.1 platform, the A1010 is also utilizing the Opera web browser
and its small screen and full screen rendering technology. Other software include Picsel Document
Viewer/Edit and PIM applications. The A1010 is also equipped with a TransFlash memory slot, A-GPS
support for location services, and Bluetooth.
The Motorola A1010 is expected to be available in Q4 2005.

The Motorola E1060
Focusing on imaging, the Motorola E1060 sports a 1.3 MP, 8x digital zoom camera with a dedicated
camera shortcut key for capturing still images. A VGA camera is also present, enabling 2-way video
conferencing. Video and audio streaming (MPEG4, WMV/WMA and MP3) is also available along with
Bluetooth support.
The E1060 has an internal memory of 32 MB, while it supports up to 512 MB of removable memory.
Messaging features like MMS, IM and E-mail are of course also available, and the same goes for
support for MP3 ringtones, screensavers and games.
The Motorola E1060 is expected to be available in the Q4 of 2005.

The Motorola E1120
The key features of the Motorola E1120 is its 3G functionality, and an integrated 3 MP camera with
auto focus, 8x digital zoom and 30 Lux lamp. Furthermore, video capture and playback with 2-way video
calling and Windows Media playback has also been added. Software for editing still and moving images
is also to be found in the E1120.
Added to the list is also an integrated MP3 player, as well as 3D stereo audio with dual polyphonic
speakers and spacial enhancement. More ordinary features like MMS, e-mail and IM are also supported,
and both a TransFlash memory slot supporting up to 512 MB memory cards and Bluetooth are available.
The Motorola E1120 is expected to be available in the Q4 2005.
