Motorola just announced the new PEBL V6 clamshell phone and the SLVR V8 candybar phone, both sporting EDGE and Bluetooth.

At 3GSM World Congress in Cannes, Motorola today announced two new mobile phones as well as the Motorola Special Edition Black RAZR V3 (Click here for images).
The Motorola SLVR V8
The Motorola SLVR V8 supports high speed data transfer through EDGE, Push To Talk, Bluetooth Class 2, WAP 2.0 and XHTML, J2ME MIDP 2.0 and comes with a integrated VGA camera with 4x zoom and video capture and playback.
An integrated MP3 player enables playback of music, but the internal memory of the SLVR V8 is only 5 MB. For additional memory, a TransFlash memory slot has been added providing up to 256 MB removable memory cards. MP3 ringtones, screensavers and downloadable wallpapers are also supported by the phone, and the same goes for messaging features like SMS, MMS, IM Wireless Village and e-mail (POP3, SMTP). According to Motorola a new dynamic idle solution has also been implemented, for zero-click access to news, sports, entertainment, and weather.
The Motorola SLVR V8 is expected to be available in Q3 2005, while pricing will depend on region.

The Motorola PEBL V6
The PEBL V6 is pitched as a mobile accessory, with a smooth oval form and a dual-hinge mechanism to open and close the device with one swift motion. Still, the phone has an integrated camera with camcorder capabilities, Bluetooth, EDGE, GPRS Class 10, WAP 2.0 and XHTML browser, J2ME MIDP 2.0, as well as speaker independent voice dial. The memory of the phone is however only 5 MB and no memory expansion slot is available here.
The Motorola PEBL V6 is expected to be available in the second half of 2005, while pricing will depend on region.
