Based on Symbian OS, Sendo today announced the Sendo X2 music phone as the first in a new line of entertainment devices.

The Symbian based Sendo X2 smartphone, announced today, is a digital music player that according to Sendo doesn’t compromise on phone features or usability. The new smartphone is the first in a series of mobile entertainment devices from Sendo. Sporting a 2.2" 16-bit TFT colour display, the GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz X2 weighs in at 95 g and is 18 mm thick. Also present is a 1.3 MP camera with 8x digital zoom and camcorder capabilities, while Bluetooth and USB provides PAN connectivity.
Furthermore, the X2 offers a XHTML browser, GPRS Class 10 and J2ME support, as well as speaker independent voice recognition.
The Sendo X2 supports the MP3, AAC and AAC+ formats and offers easy transfer of music from a PC over Bluetooth or USB, so that users have instant access to all of their music. Digital Rights Management software from the Open Mobile Alliance is also properly in place.
Sendo's custom-designed SoniX sound system is claimed by the company itself to provide high qualiy sound, and the X2 is also equipped with a miniSD slot supporting 1 GB memory cards.
The Sendo X2 will be available in Europe during this summer, while pricing will depend on operator.
