The Sony Ericsson K600 sports dual mode UMTS-GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 functionality, measuring 104.3 x 45 x 18.9 mm.
The K600 offers video telephony, a 1.3 MP camera, and is equipped with a 1.8" 18-bit TFT colour screen with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. A direct video telephony button handling video calls has also been added, while Sony Ericsson’s latest dual front camera/phone design makes the handset vertical when it’s a phone, and horizontal when it’s a camera. Furthermore, the integrated camera includes an active lens cover for swift activation and extra protection.
Software-wise, the K600 features a suite of PIM applications, and a 3D game called Vijay Singh Pro Golf 2005. The phone's music player enables direct downloads of full tracks, and an FM radio has also been integrated. The internal memory of the K600 is however only 37 MB in total.
Sony Ericsson claims a talk- and videocall-time of 2 hours when being connected to an UMTS network, and a talktime of 7.5 hours when being connected to a GSM network.
The K600 will be available in the third quarter of 2005.
A hands-on preview and photos of the Sony Ericsson K600 will be published later.
