The new L510S Bluetooth solution from Plantronics combines a headset and base station to enable seamless switching between a landline and mobile phone.
Having previously only offered a sneak peek of the product, Plantronics has now announced the naming and further details, as well as availability and pricing information for its L510S multi-point Bluetooth solution. Combining the L510 Bluetooth headset and L510A Desktop Adapter, the L510S aims to enable seamless switching between an analog phone line and a mobile phone.

The L510 Bluetooth headset sports an over-the-ear design with swiveling boom, weighing in at 15 g or 3.1 oz and supporting both the Bluetooth Headset and Handsfree profiles. Its claimed battery life is up to 6 hours of talk time and up to 100 hours of standby time, utilizing Bluetooth 1.2 and a incorporating a noise canceling microphone.
The L510A Desktop Adapter, on its side, offers a pass-through connection for analog lines, routing incoming calls to the L510 headset. The adapter also charges the headset while docked.
To be available this spring, the L510S will retail for $249 USD in the U.S. market. Information concerning availability in other markets was not available at the time of writing.
