For users who can never find a power outlet, Socket is now offering 7200 mAh of power in a small, portable package. And it works with almost anything on the market over USB.
For mobile users who need power on the road, the Socket Mobile Power Pack may fit the bill.
 | 2700 mAh of pure Li-Ion power
|
Comprised of a 2700 mAh Lithium Ion battery encased in a black leather pouch with an attached USB cord, the Mobile Power Pack provides auxiliary battery charging to any mobile device that takes a standard 5 volt 4mm, 3.5 mm, or 2.5 barrel power adapter. That includes most phones and handhelds on the market as well as many audio players, cameras, and other electronics.
Users of other handhelds and phones will need a separate adapter to convert the connector to the type necessary for their device. Socket has a lengthy list of mobile devices and the necessary adapters (if any) on their web site. Apple iPods and other devices that use a voltage other than 5 volts will also work with the requisite adapter, and Socket has suggestions for those, too.
The Mobile Power Pack itself can be recharged, of course, via an AC adapter that ships with wall plugs for the US, Europe, UK, and Australia and includes LED indicators for low power and charging status. A nylon travel pouch is included as well. The entire ensemble measures 101 x 76 x 25 mm and weighs 311 grams.
The Socket Mobile Power Pack is available now from Socket for $149 USD.
