According to an announcement issued by Nokia today, the manufacturer has begun shipping its first 3G smartphone, the 6630. Previously previewed by infoSync World, the Nokia 6630 combines support for WCDMA 3G networks with GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz connectivity and EDGE support, and is powered by Nokia's Series 60 platform for smartphone handsets.
Weighing 127 g and measuring 110 x 60 x 21 mm, the Nokia 6630 is the lightest globally available megapixel dual-mode phone for GSM and WCDMA networks. The estimated sales price of the Nokia 6630 is expected to be around 500 euros, excluding local taxes.
