Motorola is issuing a recall of many v710 handsets due to manufacturing problems with the camera. In some units the camera is not properly aligned, resulting in problems with pictures. A formal announcement will be made in the next few days, although it is unclear if Motorola will contact buyers directly. The company will be replacing affected phones with fixed units that are more properly aligned. Verizon, the exclusive carrier for the v710, is reportedly not pleased at this development.
