US carrier Verizon Wireless is now offering users an online backup option for their mobile phones. The service stores all of a phone's contact information online on Verizon's servers, and then in case a phone is lost or damaged users can simply download their entire contact list directly to a new phone. Seven models are supported by the new over-the-air service. The cost will be $1.99 USD per month.
