Sony Ericsson rounds out its day of launches with two new Bluetooth headsets, the Akono HBH-660 and HBH-300, and a the CSS-25 desk speaker stand.
Sony Ericsson has added a series of new Bluetooth accessories to its lineup, including the Akono HBH-660 and HBH-300 headsets and a desk speaker stand dubbed the CSS-25.

|
The high-end Akono HBH-660 Bluetooth headset makes its mark with a built-in LCD display for caller ID directly on the headset, dubbed Info Display. Combined with the headset's standard buttons and features, that makes it possible for phone users to handle virtually all input and output functions directly from the headset without the need to interact with their phone. Its battery is rated for five hours talk time or 150 hours standby.
The Akono HBH-300 is aimed more at mid-range but frequent users. Sony Ericsson claims the HBH-300 has the best possiblesound performance, even in noisy environments, due in part to the design which puts the microphone closer to the user's mouth. Just as important, however, is the rated 10 hour talk time and 300 hour standby time, enough to last through several days of regular usage.
 | The CSS-25 offers Bluetooth conference calling
|
Moving from private to public, the CSS-25 is a desk speaker stand that connects to a mobile phone via Bluetooth. Intended for mobile phone conference calls, the CSS-25 has a built in microphone and speaker so that the user can hear the caller from anywhere in a room, making it usable as a loudspeaker phone. The CSS-25 can run off of the connected phone's battery, if necessary, and can act as a pass-through to charge the phone when connected to AC power.
The HBH-660 and CSS-25 will be available in quarter 4 of 2004, while the HBH-300 is slated for quarter 3 of 2004. Pricing information was not available for any model.
