When asked to comment on the delay of the X, Lawless cited Sendo's previously stated intent not to bring the X to market under any circumstance before the device was ready. Also, Lawless added, the hardware and software aspects of the X are complete, with operator validation being the final hurdle on the road to commercial availability.

The manufacturer has yet to announce which operators will be the first to bring the Sendo X to market, however said customers worldwide will be able to purchase the smartphone without contract should they not be covered by a particular operator's footprint. Pricing for the handset has yet to be determined, but is according to company representatives not to exceed 500 EUR without contract.">

Sendo X launch 'imminent'By Jørgen Sundgot, Friday 14 May 2004
Despite having missed its Q1 launch window, Sendo's first smartphone, the X, is now facing an 'imminent' launch according to the British manufacturer. Kevin Lawless, Sendo's Director of Marketing, confirmed in an interview with infoSync World that the smartphone is currently undergoing validation with operators, and will be launched in a matter of "weeks, not months".

When asked to comment on the delay of the X, Lawless cited Sendo's previously stated intent not to bring the X to market under any circumstance before the device was ready. Also, Lawless added, the hardware and software aspects of the X are complete, with operator validation being the final hurdle on the road to commercial availability.
