Focusing heavily on imaging, the K700 includes a VGA-resolution digital camera capable of taking both still photos and video clips. The device features 'dual fronts', one for the phone features and another to make it feel more like a digital camera. Captured images can be stored in the phone's 32 MB of onboard memory or sent via MMS. Extra features of the camera include a photo light for illuminating dark environments and a 4x digital zoom.
The K700 sports a 16-bit TFT display running at a resolution of 176 x 220, and a loudspeaker for polyphonic ringtones and game sound effects from the 3D Java engine included with the phone. Sample 3D games are included. MP3 files can be played through the speaker or a handsfree kit, as can FM radio signals: the K700 can store 20 presets.
Connectivity is provided by tri-band 900/1800/1900 GSM with GPRS, while the handset also offers Bluetooth for a range of accessories. IR and a data port are also included.
The K700, which is to be available Q2 2004, weighs 90 g, measures 99 x 46.5 x 19.5 mm and offers a standby time of up to 15 days, or 360 hours. Talk-time is rated at a healthy 7 hours. No pricing information was available at the time of writing.
