At the ongoing 3GSM World Congress in Cannes, France, Danger is covertly demonstrating the third generation of its Hiptop concept, featuring several improvements over the colour version that came to market in late 2003. Still featuring a swivel display, the design of the Hiptop has been given a makeover, rendering it slimmer and more pocketable than before. Also, the newest version boasts an integrated digital camera whereas previous models required the use of an attachment, while the display has been upgraded to offer improved brightness and clarity, and now displays up to 65,536 colours.
Danger representatives declined to comment on when the new model would be officially announced, as well as on its expected availability and pricing.
