Only shortly after its launch, Siemens is providing a software upgrade for its very first smartphone, the Series 60 powered SX1. Available as a free, user-installable download from the Siemens web site, the upgrade brings the version number of the software powering the SX1 up from 5 to 6.
The upgrade offers several improvements, including its integrated camera being able to better capture pictures under low light conditions, improved standby time without an MMC card being inserted, as well as the stability of manual network selection and USB connections having both been improved.
