Merriam-Webster, publisher of dictionaries and language references, has partnered with JSmart Technologies, a wireless game and entertainment developer, to put it's range of language tools at the fingertips of mobile phone users.
The new Merriam-Webster dictionary and thesaurus are networked to ensure the most up-to-date resources possible, and are designed to run on all major mobile phone models including Nokia, Motorola, Siemens, Samsung and Sony Ericsson via BREW and Java. The applications are currently available on several major North American operators including Alltel, US Cellular and Verizon.
This comes shortly after Beiks announce availability of their dictionary program for the Microsoft Smartphone platform.">
