T-Mobile is to be a main sponsor of the UEFA 2004 European Football Championship, which takes place in Portugal next summer. As one of the Official Partners at UEFA EURO 2004, T-Mobile will be offering exclusive services and content to more than 45 million customers in five European markets during the event, including Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, the UK, and the Netherlands. The tournament starts on 12 June 2004, with the final taking place at the Da Luz Stadium in Lisbon on 4 July.

According to T-Mobile, the sponsorship is likely to spearhead T-Mobile's t-zones offering in 2004, through a range of UEFA EURO 2004 mobile multimedia offerings. Past sporting events have created a significant increase in usage of t-zones services - by as much as 40% during the 2002 World Cup.">
