Electronics giant Samsung have announced a camera phone with a difference - it can also record up to 2 hours of video and has a number of other tricks up its sleeve, too.
The clamshell SCH-V410 handset offers an mp3 player with dedicated external buttons, can act as a remote control for home appliances, supports polyphonic ringtones and takes pictures. Oh, and it's a phone.
The camera claims advanced technology such as backlight compensation and a flash, and can store up to 2 hours of video on its internal memory. Video playback is also encouraged, with over-the-air content delivery to the 262,000-colour TFT internal screen. Extra information is found on the 16-grey OLED external screen.
Data is received and sent over the CDMA2000 1X network, while a PCS version is on its way. The price? 700,000 Korean Won, or roughly $600 USD. Samsung have not announced an intention to bring the phone to non-Korean markets. It goes on sale next week in Korea.
