Finnish phone giant rejoins the fray with the HS-4W Wireless Boom Headset.
Nokia have unveiled a new addition to their range - the Wireless Boom Headset. The sleek silver headset operates via Bluetooth and fits either ear.

Features include a volume control, answer / end functionality and voice dial activation, while multi-coloured LEDs indicate battery and call status as well as a Bluetooth connection. Weighing 21g the HS-4W is not the lightest headset, although its claimed 6 hours of talk time or 160 hours of standby from the 120 mAh lithium-polymer battery is impressive. The headset should be available in Spring 2004, although no pricing was available.
This is Nokia's second Bluetooth headset to reach markets, after the HDW-2. Nokia's first announced model never made it to market. By contrast, Sony Ericsson have made at least four iterations of their Bluetooth headsets while also releasing other products, such as miniature radio control cars, that use the technology.
