According to a notice posted on the web site of Palm OS software house Bits & Bolts, the company has uncovered what appears to be an error in the Slot Driver of Palm's recently released Tungsten T3 handheld. According to messages posted by users of the handheld on several discussion forums, as well as investigations carried out by Bits & Bolts, the Tungsten T3 seems to be experiencing problems with memory cards from manufacturer SanDisk which could result in the handheld rendering such cards unusable.
The company said it had sent a detailed technical explanation of the problem along with a sample program and source to palmOne for the company to attempt duplicating the failure and resolving the problem.
