Only days after being officially launched, Palm's - or palmOne, as the company is soon to be renamed - new mid-range Tungsten E model sees the introduction of its first update. The update, available as a free download from the palmOne web site, contains a set of improvements for the SDIO driver on the Tungsten E. According to palmOne, the update improves support for current and future SDIO products, and also enables support for MMC memory cards greater than 64 MB in size.
palmOne also advised users sternly that the update only applies to its Tungsten E model, and that installing on any other handheld from the company would lead to devices failing to respond to expansion cads.
