The expected availability of Siemens' first smartphone to be based on Nokia's Series 60 platform, the SX1, has been pushed back. Originally slated for an introduction in the third quarter of this year, the smartphone now appears to be scheduled to hit store shelves some time in the fourth quarter. A Siemens spokesman confirmed the Siemens SX1 smartphone to be undergoing additional testing of its software to ensure it is ready for the market, and attributed the delay to this.
