Fonix VoiceDial comes to Smartphone 2002By Anthony Newman, Tuesday 22 July 2003
The popular voice-control application joins the ranks of Smartphone 2002 crossovers, enabling voice dialling from Orange and MiTAC smartphones for the first time.

Fonix today announced the availability of its VoiceDial application for Microsoft Smartphone 2002 devices, including the Orange SPV, SPV E100 and Mitac Mio 8380. With the release of this application, Fonix introduce the first voice-dial capability to these devices.

Ill: Fonix

With one button push, users can switch their handset to voice-dial mode, allowing dialling of Outlook contacts and direct numbers with their voice. VoiceDial is designed to be training-free, with good performance in noisy environments, and exceptional clarity in the voiced responses by the user's phone.

The SmartPhone version of VoiceDial joins the Phone Edition version, and has been pared down for a reduced footprint: the compact version occupies 0.9 MB. Fonix VoiceDial for Smartphone is available now from the Fonix website for $14.95 USD.
