MiTAC's Mio 8380 smartphone today made a debut at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong, chalking up availability in yet another country for the Taiwan-based manufacturer. The tri-band GSM/GPRS Mio 8380, based on Microsoft's Smartphone 2002 platform, is powered by a 200 MHz Intel PXA255 XScale procesor and is only the third smartphone running a Microsoft platform to be made available. MiTAC's Mio 8380 smartphone today made a debut at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong, chalking up availability in yet another country for the Taiwan-based manufacturer. The tri-band GSM/GPRS Mio 8380, based on Microsoft's Smartphone 2002 platform, is powered by a 200 MHz Intel PXA255 XScale procesor and is only the third smartphone running a Microsoft platform to be made available.
